A vehicle accident in Murang claimed three lives

November 27, Nairobi, Kenya—A car crashed along the Kiria-ini-Kangema route in Murang'a County on Wednesday morning, plunging into the Mathioya River and killing three persons. 

Around ten in the morning, a Mitsubishi truck heading from Kiria-ini to Kangema was involved in the collision.

According to the police, the car veered off the road and fell into the river when the driver lost control of it while negotiating a steep turn. 

According to the police report Capital News was able to receive, "due to the impact, but the driver and the two passengers died on the spot."

After police and emergency personnel arrived on the scene, the victims' remains were taken to the mortuary at Kiria-ini Mission Hospital for a postmortem investigation.

While the cause of the collision is being investigated, the truck has been transported to the Kiria-ini Police Station for examination.
